Many thanks for your contribution, Robbie (and David, too). It was an article in The Firm (http://www.firmmagazine.com/news/1638/Exclusive%3A_Former_Scotsman_editor_confirms_government_and_CIA_influence_over_Lockerbie_investigation_.html) that made me say, “others have speculated.” It’s pretty amazing to actually hear from a person who was involved with that.

Please don’t be offended that I said, “Let’s not go there.” The reason was that the article was already 4,239 words long, and it was purely for reasons of space.

Saying Pan Am Flight 103 was brought down by an electrical fault would be a great thing to say at parties, if only I got invited to any. I’m not sure I believe it, what with the intelligence pointing to Iranian involvement, the activities of the PFLP-GC in Germany and elsewhere, Pik Botha’s warning to not fly on that particular airplane, the security personnel at the crash scene, and the Charles McKee business, but I’ll look into it further and might email you.

Hi Tomothy, I contributed much to the articles in the The Firm, of which you suggest ‘”Let’s not go there”. I respectfully suggest you do not prejudice your investigations, if they are genuine, by shutting the door on the very real possiblility that Lockerbie is a criminal accident, a rad-haz incident wherebythe plane’s long broadcast to Prestwick, perhaps like Air India, has triggered unstable fuzes in an illegal load of military munitions. That’s what the evidence indicates, whilst there is no evidence of any bomb. Following Mr Megrahi’s sad death, The Firm has kindly amassed its articles in an easy-to- read page for everyone’s convenience.
