[...] The Church actually got off lightly in Brown’s use of wacky sources. Another Gnostic book, the Second Apocalypse of James, depicts Jesus kissing James on the mouth, and we were spared the talking cross of the Gospel of Peter. And it may not have been Gnostic, but how could Dan Brown have ignored what Columbia University‘s Morton Smith discovered in 1958, at the back of the Epistolae genuinae S. Ignatii Martyris (1646)? This purported letter from Clement of Alexandria quotes the real Gospel of Mark, a section that would appear between verses 34 and 35 of the standard Mark 10. There, a youth who idolised Jesus spent the night with him gumnos gumno (nekkid man with nekkid man). “And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the Kingdom of God.” (Would you like to know more?)
Most theologians, whom I would expect to be mostly Christian, believe the Clement letter was real. A Greek handwriting expert found that it was not from the hand of Morton Smith.
.
Jesus superseded Mosaic law in the cases of the Sabbath, divorce, and diet.
.
John 13:23 speaks of “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” John 19:26-28 does the same. It is not “a disciple” - the relationship described is special, and it is one of love. If you don't think love is sexual, make some of the stuff and let me know how you feel. When James I of England was criticized for his liaison with the Duke of Buckingham, he said, “Jesus Christ did the same, and therefore I cannot be blamed. Christ had... John, and I have my George.”
.
Mark 7:15 says, “There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him.” This can be taken to apply to HOT COCK. Even if we disregard the Secret Gospel of Mark, Mark 14:51 has Jesus in the company of a near-nekkid young man. If I found you with a scantily clad young man, I'd wonder.
.
As we saw with the fuss over The Da Vinci Code, Christians cannot accept that Jesus was sexually active at all. It would have been highly abnormal for someone of Jesus' age to be asexual.

Timothy... All liberal theologians, no doubt, endorse and believe the Clement Letter to be authentic. Keep in mind the word " liberal ". All conservative theologians do not. The Clement letter is a perfect example of the heresy of gnosticism. Keep in mind, Timothy, that above all, Jesus was a Jew. As such, He revered the Old Testament and used it in many of His teachings. He was NOT Greek. What you say would make sense if HE was. Christ's teachings on marriage are quite clear. Straight from the O.T. I doubt HE would contradict Himself in His manner of life.

To the author of this article: Where do you get off with blasphemy? The Gnostic gospels were written well after the synoptic gospels were established. Plenty of time for embellishments and myths. You may be trying to make a point here, but you do so irreverently. You are an idiot.
