Most theologians, whom I would expect to be mostly Christian, believe the Clement letter was real. A Greek handwriting expert found that it was not from the hand of Morton Smith.

John 13:23 speaks of “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” John 19:26-28 does the same. It is not “a disciple” – the relationship described is special, and it is one of love. Timothy… All liberal theologians, no doubt, endorse and believe the Clement Letter to be authentic. Keep in mind the word ” liberal “. All conservative theologians do not. The Clement letter is a perfect example of the heresy of gnosticism. Keep in mind, Timothy, that above all, Jesus was a Jew. As such, He revered the Old Testament and used it in many of His teachings. He was NOT Greek. What you say would make sense if HE was. Christ’s teachings on marriage are quite clear. Straight from the O.T. I doubt HE would contradict Himself in His manner of life.

To the author of this article: Where do you get off with blasphemy? The Gnostic gospels were written well after the synoptic gospels were established. Plenty of time for embellishments and myths. You may be trying to make a point here, but you do so irreverently. You are an idiot.
